I shall中的shall是助动词，shall I表示请求，相当于情态动词。shall也可用在第三人称中表示请求、指示。

Shall she come at once?要她马上来吗？
What/When/Where shall we……?
You shall not leave your post.你不得离开岗位（命令）。

在第二、第三人称中用shall，它相当于就是一个情态动词，而不表示将来，只有第一人称有时才是。

Tell him that he shall get the answer this afternoon.告诉他下午给他答复(许诺、允诺）。
