demand是个及物动词，它的宾语可以是名词，或直接以不定式为宾语，或接that引导的宾语从句，但不能接带不定式的复合宾语，也不宜接动名词。

例如：

9.1 I demand the return of the money I lent him.我要求他归还我借给他的钱。

9.2 I demand that he (should) go there at once.我要求他立即去那儿。

再比如，我们不能说：

❌He demanded us to tell him everything.

而要说：

He demanded to be told everything.
